Belkıs Gökçe Uçar joined EDAM as a secretary-general and a research assistant in 2018. She completed her BSc. in Political Science and International Relations at Yeditepe University in 2014 and holds a Master’s in Political Economy of Europe from the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE). After LSE, Gokce returned to Istanbul in 2016, where she started to pursue her Ph.D. in Political Economy subject in Yeditepe University. Her MSc. dissertation focused on the country-specific institutional models where she analyzed the differing patterns of local government regulations in London and Berlin in response to ‘sharing-economy’, for the case of Uber. She is particularly interested in areas such as; disruptive technologies, artificial intelligence and sharing economy.
